Definition of Computer Viruses

Computer Virus Types distinguished from the techniques of manufacture and distribution behavior.
Based on the techniques of manufacture, viruses are grouped into three:
1. Viruses are written by Compiler.
This is the first type of virus appears and until now continues to grow. This virus is the virus executable that can be directly implemented because of the compilation process.
2. Macro viruses.
Macro viruses are viruses that use modular programming facilities in a particular application program. The goal of modular programming facility is to provide a convenience and create a shortcut for the application. For example contained in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and others.
3. Script virus.
Originally better known for first batch viruses contained in the existing batch file in DOS. But now this has turned into a script for starting a variety of language used. Viruses of this type usually ride on those files created using HTML and scripting facilities such as Javascript and VBScript. There are also encoded using PHP.

While based on the behavior, in general, the virus re-grouped into:
1. Boot Sector Virus.
Viruses of this type will move or replace the original boot sector with boot virus program so that when booting, the virus will occur in subsequent viral load kememori and will have the ability to control the standard hardware such as monitors, prontaer and others.
2. Stealth Virus.
This virus will master table at the DOS interrupt table that often we know the "Interrupt interceptor."
3. Polymorphic Viruses.
Designed for this virus to fool the antivirus program, it means the virus is always trying not to be identified by antivirus to ways the fox is always changing its structure after each infect files / other programs.
4. File viruses. This virus infects executable files directly from the operating system, whether an application file (*. EXE), or *. COM usually also result from virus infection can be detected by changing the size of the file that attacked.
5. Partition Multi Virus (Virus Hybrid).
This virus is a combination of boot sector viruses and file viruses: it means the work performed resulted in two, that he can infect files *. EXE file and also infect the Boot Sector.
